2014 Freiburg, Germany
From 24 to 25 May, the EU Stone Festival took place once again in Freiburg. Around 150 apprentices, journeymen, and masters from 18 countries created sandstone works on the theme “Flora and Fauna of the Black Forest.”
In addition, the “European Stone Festival Trail” showcased the artists’ work at various locations throughout the city. The festival was led by Bernward Fiedler and the FWG Freiburg team.
Flora and Fauna of the Black Forest in Sandstone
From 24 to 25 May, 150 apprentices, journeymen, and masters from 18 countries once again came to Freiburg for the EU Stone Festival. This time, the theme for the sandstone creations was “Flora and Fauna of the Black Forest.”
There was also a “European Stone Festival Trail,” where artists worked at various locations throughout Freiburg, including the Münsterbauhütte. As before, the festival was led by Bernward Fiedler and the FWG Freiburg team.
