2017 Kiskunfélegháza, Hungary
From May 19 to 21, 2017, more than 130 stonemasons and sculptors from around the world gathered in Kiskunfélegyháza, Hungary. Under the motto “Secession and Life in the Puszta,” they worked in the heart of the city against the backdrop of the town hall, presenting their art live to passersby. The festival was organized by the National Association of Stonemasons and Artificial Stone Manufacturers of Hungary together with the city of Kiskunfélegyháza.
Stone, Art, and Life on the Puszta
The European Stone Festival was held for the first time from May 19 to 21, 2017, in Kiskunfélegyháza, Hungary. More than 130 stonemasons and sculptors from around the world came together to take part in a competition under the theme “Secession and Life in the Puszta.” The event was organized by the National Association of Stonemasons and Artificial Stone Manufacturers of Hungary together with the municipal administration of Kiskunfélegyháza. The stonemasons worked in the heart of Kiskunfélegyháza, directly in front of the town hall, under the watchful eyes of curious passersby.
