2017 Kiskunfélegháza, Ungarn

From May 19 to 21, 2017, more than 130 stonemasons and sculptors from around the world gathered in Kiskunfélegyháza, Hungary. Under the motto “Secession and Life in the Puszta,” they worked in the middle of the city against the backdrop of the town hall and showcased their art live to passersby. The festival was organized by the National Association of Stonemasons and Artificial Stone Producers of Hungary and the city of Kiskunfélegyháza.

For the first time, the European Stone Festival took place from May 19 to 21, 2017, in Kiskunfélegyháza, Hungary. Over 130 stonemasons and sculptors from around the world gathered to participate in a competition with the theme “Secession and Life in the Puszta.” The event was organized by the National Association of Stonemasons and Artificial Stone Producers of Hungary and the city administration of Kiskunfélegyháza. The stonemasons worked in the heart of Kiskunfélegyháza, in front of the town hall, under the watchful eyes of curious passersby.
